Hi By accident I came across your exiting webpage. It seems that we share a passion for Triumphs and racecars. I am the owner of a Triumph Tr6, and a Triumph Herald 1200 saloon from 1962. I have just finished the race preparation on the Herald. On your webpage I found pictures of a Herald. I would very much like to get in touch with the owner. Can you help me? Will be going to GB soon on a little "shoping-tour", to fix my car for the spring and summer, ooooo I can't wait! Live in southern Sweden. Regards Anders

Hello, Congratulations for your very interesting site. One of the best I know. Have had a Triumph in the family since 1961 : Herald 1200,1300TC,Vitesse 2l MK2 and a 1976 Dolomite 1850 still on the road to day. Each car has covered more than 156000 km. I also have 163 die-cast Triumph models.I am a member of the Triumph Sports Six Club of Belgium. Keep on your good work.
Currently own 5 Triumphs!! Dolomite 1850,1300TC,2000 MK1 and two Toledos.Have had Triumphs in the family since the early 1970's.

Good morning Do you still have OOM512R? Related to that question, do you know where I could obtain the wheel arch expensions used on the TR7V8 rally cars?Have US rally car that needs them. Cary Perket
Very nice, thank you for the kind words.
Nice, Have you any contact with Dave Gleed from Coventry he was at Le Mans in those days working for Triumph. There are pictures of him sitting in a car at the start lineup? Have you seen Dieter Messmer's Spitfire?
Great website! You have done a geat service to those Spitfire & GT6 owners who have a place in their heart for the LeMans Spitfire. I just received my LeMans GT6 bonnet from Jigsaw Racing in the UK via PRI in the U.S. Drop by my site sometime: http://pages.prodigy.net/mikeross Best wishes, Mike P.S. You've got a nice family
Greetings from Columbus, Ohio USA- I have been visiting your excellent website since I own a Triumph GT6 Mk III. I also have a 1966 Renault Caravelle, a 1969 Fiat 850 Coupe, a 1964 Austin Healey Sprite and for daily use I drive a 1994 Mazda MX-3. In the past I have owned an NSU Sportprinz, a Triumph TR-3, a TR-6, and other fun vehicles. My cat named Oreo is very much the boss in my house. She does not like my GT6. I will visit your website again I'm sure. It is the best Triumph website I have ever seen. Sincerely, John Moglia
Dear Michael, Hello from London. Iam over visiting my sister. Unfortunatly I don't think I'll be able to come yo Germany in September. I must be around in the mornings to take my son to school. My work will also be busy at this time. Hope to speak to you soon. All the best, Terry (from NEW York).
Hello Michael, How are you and your family? Everything okay? Still happy with the GT6 or did you sell it already? Iff you're interested, a customer of me has an original brand new with 4000km (original), Spitfire for sale. Never restored, never repainted, stored in a heated garage and only driven 2/3 times a year from 1979. It's carmine red with beige interior and has fitted from the dealer, a few additional gauges. Completely original TRIUPMH SPITFIRE straight from the factory in a prestine concours condition (no flaws). The fixed price is 13500,00 euro Let me know iff you're interested. Best regards, John van Herk BRITPARTS/TR7-8 SHOP e-mail; britpart@worldonline.nl tel;0031135043951 This is a real timecapsule you won't believe your eyes!!!!
I enjoyed your site. I just found (and bought) a '76 Spit I found stored in a barn to be my first restoration project. I don't think it will be as unique as your barn find however. Thanks for the info and photos!
Michael...love your site! It's a hoot seeing my GT-6 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Cars of Friends section) back in '70 (a mere 32 years ago). I scarcely recognize the young guy in the picture! And if you think YOU want this car, imagine what I'd give to have it back in this condition today! By the way, those driving lights are wing and nose lights from various Cessna aircraft (12V) with housings fabricated from ductwork sheet metal, wrapped in Naugahyde uphostery fabric, & held together with chrome hose clamps. Tight budget but Boy,it could really throw the beams! By the way, I really admire your wife's TR-3, as well as the rest of your efforts. With best compliments and regards...Doug.
Great information on competition cars - thank you its just what I have been looking for and I wonder if you can help me a little further. I am thinking of building a competition car for historic special stage rallying (both tarmac and gravel/forest events) and am wondering if recreating a Works Spitfire spec car is the right way to go or if I should develop a MarkI GT6 for the job (power low down and loads of torque is what you need not high reving power). Do you have any suggestions as to my best course of action or know anyone who rallies these cars today ? Can you point me to any detailed specifications on the works cars and/or any homologation details of spitfires or GT6's prior to December 1967 ?

Great site and pictures of Spitfire racing history! Enjoyed reading your article in the new "Spitfire & GT6" magazine. I am going to add your site to my links page soon. Please look at my site, http://www.angelfire.com/fl2/mpo/cars.html
Gruss D.Senn
i like the look of spitires, but it needs more power! www.spitfire2500.com is one idea!
Great work on the webpages, and I love your current collection of Cars. I am a 3 Triumph owner -Stag-1973 semi restored, a 1976 Spitfire 1500-fully restored and Concour winner in Victoria Australia this year, and a 1976 Spitfire, being developed for Historic racing. I am also Concours Director for 2002 in Melbourne Australia for TSOA. The club is now over 40 Years old, and has membership of 375 at the present time. I am interested in getting copies of the scans of Autoweek and Triumph review for our Concours Program. 2002 is a celebration of 40 years of spitfire, and we woulf like to include a few of the Racing History images, in color if possible. I am happy to acknowledge both source and Copyright-i was a photographer in my early life!! Thanks for a great collection, Best Regards, Roger
Hi Michael! Super interessante Seite hast Du da!!! Ich werde Dich - auf Anraten von Jürgen Brüchert - noch heute per eMail kontaktieren, wegen Referenzfotos, die ich benötige. Viele Grüße! Dirk Becker (http://www.oldtimerkunst.de)
Guten tag from England, I am the Triumph Sports Six Club (TSSC) organiser for London and I am interested in writing an article about the Le Mans Spitfire ADU3B which I thought was near Paris, I was wondering if you had any contact details for the owner. I am really impressed with your restoration of ADU7B and would also like to do an article on your car at some point. The guys at Jigsaw certainly know there stuff! I saw some of their work at the Stafford International show yesterday. I have already visited Spitfire FC01 - the very first production Spitfire and took loads of photo's during my visit to Geneva, hopefully I'll get around to writing an article soon. If you could help me at all I would be very grateful, Best regards, Philip Willcocks Triumph Sports Six Club, North London Area Organiser. 00 44 7973 333303
Great Site - I only wish that Triumphs had continued - instead of Rover. Maybe they would still be around as Rover floundered on the reputation of being *an old man's car' while Triumph always had a sporting image. Mind you, poor marketing did not help!
Guten Tag, See www.laprecord.com for more Group 44 Triumph information. click on "wasted youth" section.

Hi Michi Viele Grüße von deinem lieben Patenkind
Hi, Wonderful site and wonderful car! I acquired part of ADU 467 B about eight years ago, just the bonnet and chassis. Since then I have accumulated more parts (engine, head, carbs, inlet manifold etc.) and built them up into a complete car. Clearly this is in no way as authentic as your car, we have no continuous history, just a collection of parts, but it is still fun to drive. Regards, Mark
You have a very nice website. Congratulations with the buy of ADU 7B in France. I am sure you have seen me a few years ago at Zandvoort; I built a LeMans Replica with a special 8-port cilinderhead. At this moment I am building an exact replica of the Valerie Pirie Spitfire. It will take another year to finish this project, so when I have good pictures, I will send them to you. Regards, Arthur
Great site. Do you know there is a Dutch racing team driving a Le Mans replica? BOMB racing (Beyond of my budget) used to have their own pages at www.triumph.nl but due to a major update they are not available right now. Contact Arthur Denzel and Ina de Hoop through ina.hoop@wxs.nl or info@triumph.nl
great sight ! I found 5 convertable spitfires how hard is it to get parts? and is it possible to put a newer dual over head cam motor or possibly a V-6 in a spitfire?
Great website... I can't wait to start restoring my '68 GT6 Mk I.... seems kinda odd though... I looked at a number of you pictures... and they are all stated as being spitfires... yet they "look" alot more like GT6's. I thought the hard top was exclusive to the GT6... guess not. Take care Art
Hallo Michael, Du bist ja Triumph-mäßig mächtig aktiv und hast Deine Website um einiges ergänzt. Respekt! Holger
hey super renovierung der seite gruss michael
