Michelotti
update info

The most of you will know that Giovanni Michelotti was the genius behind the design of the Spitfire and other Triumphs. I was able to aquire some original drawings of the brilliant italian designer. I show here some of them which show some never seen ideas for the Spitfire and other TR’s.

This drawing is from around 1960 and shows a different Spitfire design. Is the bulge in the bonnet maybe for a 6-cylinder engine?

This is a drawing from 1959 of the ‘Sabrina’ from which were build two prototypes whith the famous twincam engine. An interesting design feature are the indicators in the top edges of the hardtop. Beautiful isn’t it?

This is an interesting design scetch for a TR4 with pop up headlamps. It took until the TR7 to come to this design. A designer far ahead of the time...

This is another design scetch of for the TR4 and is quite close to the final design.
